This Privacy Policy applies to the mobile application Movie Quiz (the "Application", "Service") developed and provided by Kuandyk Zhanaydarov ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.

1. Information We Collect

We only collect data necessary to provide and enhance the gaming experience:

1.1. Account & Authentication Information

• Anonymous Mode (Guest): If you play without linking a social account, an anonymous technical unique identifier (Firebase User ID) is generated. It does not contain your name, email, or phone number.
• Sign-in with Google: When you choose to authenticate via Google Sign-In, we receive your basic profile data: your display name, email address, and unique Google ID.

1.2. Gameplay Data & Progress

• In-game currency (film strips), available lives, and streak records.
• Quiz answer statistics (correct/incorrect answers, hint usage, daily bonuses claimed).
• Timestamps of actions to ensure idempotent and synchronized server state.

1.3. Technical Diagnostics & Analytics

• Crash Reports (Firebase Crashlytics): Device model, operating system version, stack traces, and application state at the time of a crash.
• Pseudonymized Analytics (Firebase Analytics): High-level application usage patterns (screens viewed, session durations) to analyze game stability and engagement.

2. How We Use Information

The collected data is strictly used for:

• Maintaining and synchronizing your gameplay progress across sessions.
• Restoring lives and validating game actions via secure backend functions.
• Diagnosing technical glitches and fixing crashes.
• Preventing fraudulent or abusive activity.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We partner with trusted service providers to operate our cloud backend:

• Google Firebase (Google LLC): Authentication, Cloud Firestore (database), Cloud Functions, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Analytics. (Google Privacy Policy)
• Google Play Services / Apple Services: App distribution, authentication, and core system functionality.

4. Data Retention and Security

All communication between the mobile clients and the backend is encrypted using industry-standard TLS / HTTPS protocols. Access to cloud database documents is guarded by authenticated security rules. We retain gameplay progress data for as long as your account remains active or until you request its deletion.

5. User Rights and Data Deletion

Under applicable data protection laws (such as GDPR, CCPA, and Google Play / Apple App Store developer policies), you have the right to request access to or permanent deletion of your account and associated personal data.

How to request data deletion:

• Send an email to appquiz00@gmail.com with the subject line Movie Quiz - Data Deletion Request.
• Include your email address or your in-app User ID.
• Upon receipt, all your profile data, progress, and authentication records will be permanently deleted from Firebase within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us so we can take steps to remove such data.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date".
